Ericson Yachts built a reputation on boats that feel alive under sail—stiff, balanced, and beautifully finished. When Pacific Seacraft took on the Ericson heritage, they carried forward that same philosophy: strong construction, purposeful systems, and the kind of warm teak interior that makes you want to stay aboard long after the sails come down. The result is a performance cruiser that still has real offshore credibility and timeless charm.

The Ericson 380 is a Bruce King design that’s widely admired for its ability to drive to weather and stay composed when conditions build. The hull and rig geometry are meant to reward good trimming, track confidently, and carry speed through varying sea states - while the interior remains bright, practical, and genuinely comfortable for extended cruising. It’s the kind of boat that makes you want to go farther, because it feels safe and capable doing it.

“Surprise” offers that Ericson/Pacific Seacraft experience in a ready-to-cruise package. Quantum full-batten mainsail, Quantum 135% roller furling genoa, with a third suncover (Suncover added in 2017 by Kingston Sail Loft), a 165% gennaker with sock, and the original North main and genoa as spares. The stove has been upgraded to a new Force 10 gas burner, and the backstay has been replaced. “Surprise”, is ready for its new chapter - this is your chance to be at the helm.
